Business description & product range

FolioStop is a subscription based Internet Service Provider, enabling any business or consumer with an email address to use any one of a selection of pre-defined templates to create and modify their own website that runs on the FolioStop hosting facilities.

All FolioStop websites are delivered as Adobe Flash, which allows for the use of navigational transitions, custom fonts, and seemless delivery of video and music.

All clients can edit their FolioStop website using our special CMS tool, FolioEdit. This is an Adobe AIR based application that clients can download and install on their local computer. This allows them to edit virtually every aspect of their site, including choice of template, colour scheme, menu structure and sections, and all site assets.

If required, clients can use their own domain name to map web traffic to their FolioStop website. They will need to register their domain name with a seperate domain registrar.

Privacy Policy

FolioStop collects the following client information when they sign up for a free trial:

Email
Phone number (optional)

This information is used by FolioStop to identify customers and for providing customer support. When a client subscribes to the FolioStop service, we collect additional address information for billing purposes.

Customer information will never be given to any third parties unless specific permission is given by the client.

When necessary FolioStop will usually contact the client by email, or by telephone if necessary to provide support services.

From time to time FolioStop may contact the client to inform them of service amendments, service improvements, service interuptions, changes to the terms and conditions, and to notify them of the availability of new features.

Clients my amend their personal and billing details by logging into the 'My Account' area of the website at https://myaccount.foliostop.com. This is username and password protected, and runs over a secure connection (SSL) so only the registered client may access their information. Changes to the registered email address requires activation by clicking a link in a confirmation email that we send to the new email address.

Financial Information

FolioStop does not store sensitive financial information such as credit / debit card details. Payment details are sent to Paypal over a secure connection. In the case of recurring payments, such as the subscription, Paypal will store these card details when the subscription is set up so that payment may be taken automatically at each payment interval.

Shipping Policy

All FolioStop websites are delivered as web pages and hence there is no physical product to ship and there are no delivery costs. FolioStop websites are available for editing as soon as the trial account is created and the client has activated their account by clicking the link in the activation email that we send them.

Return Policy

FolioStop provides a 14 day free trial for all clients, during which the client can use a totally unrestricted version of their website and FolioEdit, the content management system for editing a FolioStop website. This provides the client with plenty of time to evaluate the product and decide whether or not they wish to become a paying customer. It is subsequently up to the client to actively set up their subscription to keep their website active.

Subscriptions can be paid for either monthly, quarterly, or annually. No refund will be given on subscriptions that have already been paid.

Cancellation Policy

Subscriptions

Subscriptions can be paid for in increments of 1,3, 6 or 12 months. Once a subscription has been paid it is non-refundable. Subscriptions can be set (at the client's request) to auto-renew. At the end of the billing period we will attempt to charge the client on the same basis as the previous subscription period. This auto-renew feature can be cancelled at any time by the client in the 'My Account' area of the website: http://myaccount.foliostop.com.

If the automated subscription payment fails, we will send the client a notification email, and give them 14 days to set up a new subscription. They will be able to do this under the 'My Account' section of the website at https://myaccount.foliostop.com. If the account remains unpaid for longer than 14 days it will be temporarily disabled, so that public access to the website will be restricted. This can be reversed by setting up the subscription payment again.

Other services

FolioStop currently offers an initial design service. The payment structure for this service is 50% in advance and 50% on delivery of the site design. The 50% deposit is non-refundable. The 50% balance is payable within 14 days of the delivery of this design.

Transaction Currency

All transactions are in pounds sterling.

Export restrictions

FolioStop usage is unrestricted worldwide.
